Biography
Akbar Ahmed is a famous Pakistani-American author, poet, playwright, academic, and filmmaker. He was born in Allahabad, British India. He started early education in his hometown. From 1954 to 1959, he studied at Army Burn Hall College in Abbottabad. He completed his education of PhD in Anthropology from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London. He received numerous awards and recognition in his life including Tamgha-i-Imtiaz and Sitara-i-Imtiaz from the Govt. of Pakistan.
